License Information

This page explains how to read the permissions attached to NovoFolio resources. It is not a universal license and does not expand the rights granted by any individual product.

Last updated:

1. License Depends on the Product

Permissions vary by product and may also vary between files within a resource. A purchase does not automatically grant resale, redistribution, exclusivity, authorship, or copyright ownership. Read the license supplied with the product and the permissions disclosed before purchase. If they are missing, unclear, or inconsistent, ask us before using or distributing the material.

2. Personal and Business Use

A product's license may permit personal use or use within your own business. Business use does not by itself mean you can sell or distribute the resource to clients or customers. Check restrictions relating to users, projects, client work, published outputs, attribution, and distribution. Permission extends only as far as the specific license states.

3. Editable Templates and Creator Tools

An editable file can be technically changed without granting a legal right to every kind of change or distribution. Customize templates, workbooks, mockups, covers, and creator tools only within the applicable license. A license allowing an exported result may still prohibit sharing or selling the editable source file. Respect separate permissions for included images, fonts, and other assets.

4. Resale and Commercial Rights

Commercial or resale rights apply only where an individual product's license explicitly grants them. This page does not establish that any particular resource carries those permissions, and it does not grant blanket resale rights across the library.

For any resource offered with resale rights, consult its actual license for each of the following points. If the license does not clearly grant a permission, do not assume it exists; contact us for clarification before proceeding.

  • Which finished products or files may be resold, and in which formats.
  • Whether modification is permitted and which changes are allowed.
  • Whether rebranding is permitted; rebranding does not automatically grant a right to claim original authorship.
  • Whether editable source files may be redistributed.
  • Whether sublicensing or further resale rights may be granted to downstream buyers.
  • Any platform, sharing, attribution, quantity, or downstream-customer restrictions.

5. Third-Party Materials

Fonts, images, logos, software, and other third-party materials may have separate licenses or trademark restrictions. Access through a NovoFolio resource does not override those terms. Check whether a separate purchase, attribution, software subscription, or permission is needed for your intended use. You are responsible for respecting applicable third-party rights.

6. Prohibited Uses

Unless the applicable license explicitly permits the activity, do not distribute restricted paid files, share them publicly, or pass them off as your original work. A permitted edit does not erase the original rights holder's protections.

  • No unauthorized redistribution, resale, sublicensing, or public file sharing.
  • No removal of required attribution or license notices.
  • No infringement of third-party copyright, trademark, or other rights.
  • No claim of ownership, authorship, exclusivity, or permissions that were not granted.

7. License Questions

Consult the license supplied with the specific product, not a general marketing description, before publishing or distributing it. If the license is missing or unclear, contact us with the product name, relevant license text, and your intended use. We will clarify the permissions we can verify; this overview alone is not authorization to resell or share a resource.

8. License Updates

Material license terms must be available to customers before purchase and supplied with the relevant resource. Corrections or changes will be communicated appropriately where required. Updating this overview does not retroactively grant new permissions or remove rights already granted under a valid purchase license. Third-party licensing changes must be assessed under the applicable license and law.
